Gerald Teasdale Fowler (1 January 1935 – 1 May 1993) was a British Labour Party politician.
Fowler was educated at Northampton Grammar School where he was a friend of Bernard later Lord Donoughue, Lincoln College, Oxford and Frankfurt University. He was a university lecturer, a councillor on Oxford City Council 1960-64 and branch secretary of the Oxford branch of the ASSET.
Fowler contested Banbury at the 1964 general election. At the 1966 general election, he was elected as Member of Parliament for the marginal seat of The Wrekin, but lost it at the 1970 election to the Conservative candidate. He regained his seat at the next opportunity February 1974 election and held it at the October 1974 election. However, at the 1979 general election he was defeated again, this time by the Conservative Warren Hawksley.
Fowler was the Minister for Education and Science from 1969 to 1970, and again in 1974 and 1976. He was also the minister for the Privy Council Office from 1974 to 1976.
